Vision Northumberland - Low Vision Assessment Service

Vision Northumberland offers a free, expert-led Low Vision Assessment Service to support individuals with eye conditions across Northumberland. The service helps clients maximize their remaining vision and build confidence, knowledge, and independence. This free, appointment-based service is delivered from our dedicated sensory hub as well as outreach venues across the county and, in exceptional circumstances, people’s homes.

During an appointment, our Low Vision Coordinator will offer a comprehensive assessment to understand your unique visual needs; discovering what works for YOU. They will discuss the challenges faced and equipment, aids and techniques that can help. Our service includes the opportunity to try a wide range of low vision equipment to see what can make the biggest difference in your daily life.

Vision Northumberland provide a comprehensive information and advice service, support with sourcing accessible equipment and signpost to additional services where needed. If you would like any advice regarding low vision, aids or would like an equipment demonstration, please get in touch.
