Gateshead College - Rail Track Engineering

Gateshead College offer a wide range of qualifications and courses to suit everyone from young people starting out to more mature individuals looking to retrain/ change careers or start their first career. We are currently working with employers in the rail industry to recruit and train their new team members due to a high demand in this sector. If you’re currently unemployed this could be a great opportunity to get back into work.

Our Rail Track Engineering course includes industry relevant skills such as Track Induction; Personal Track Safety card (PTS); manual handling; first aid; and other necessary rail competencies.

The course is Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm for 8 weeks, either at the college or in various community venues around the North East. After the course we’ll set you up with a paid work trial with a rail company.
