Humankind - Works4U (additional barriers support)

As part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Work4U is able to deliver employabilty support for local residents in the North of Tyne. In partnership with the North of Tyne Combined Authority, our programme focuses on supporting economically inactive residents of the area to improve and enhance their confidence and skills, with a view to progressing them towards the labour market. This service is specifically for individuals who face a barriers to employment, such as substance misuse and homelessness.

Each participant on our programme is allocated their own Key Support Mentor in order to guide, coach and enable them to
make positive life choices, as well as upskill themselves with the knowledge that we will continue to support them long after the programme has finished.

Who can use this service?

Our Works4U employability support programme is available for anyone who is:

  • Aged 16+
  • Not currently in Government-funded education
  • Live North of the Tyne
  • Facing additional barriers e.g. substance misuse, homelessness, etc.

How are services delivered?

1:1 Support with a Support Navigator and lead by the participant. This programme is all about you! 

Goals and the structure of the programme are set on an individual basis. Support can be offered online, face to face, at home, in a coffee shop, weekly, bi-weekly... it's your call.
