NCC: Community Retrofit Energy Advisers

Northumberland County Council's Community Energy Advisers offer energy efficiency advice and information on the availability of funding and other support to the residents of Northumberland. The advisers provide impartial advice to householders on the telephone, in home, or at community events.

The Community Energy Advisers can make referrals to available grants and funding, and give information on reducing energy bills

  • Home energy advice visits.
  • Help with registration to The Priority Services Register.
  • Fire and smoke alarm referrals.
  • Provide funding towards the servicing, replacement and repair of faulty gas appliances.
  • Advise on how to reduce your bills and carbon emissions.
  • Supply homes with Carbon Monoxide detectors.
  • Advice and guidance on energy efficiency grants.
  • Help you get connected to the gas grid.
  • Grant assessment for insulation, low carbon heating and ventilation.

The advisors are available to help people keep warm and spend less by offering energy efficiency tips and encourage using more energy efficient habits.
