Blyth PCN : Social Prescribers
Our Social Prescribing team covers both GP surgeries across Blyth, with 4 staff based at Railway medical and 2 based at Marine. We offer a person-centred approach and are able to spend as much time as needed to find out what matters in your care and wellbeing. We are empathetic and non judgemental and welcome all enquiries!
We offer additional services including:
- Menopause Cafe - The menopause can be a confusing and frustrating time. Come along and share your experiences or just listen to others. Remember you are not alone. The Evening Peer Support Group is alternating Tuesday's (5-7pm) at Marine medical surgery and the 3rd Monday of the month at Railway medical group (4-6pm). The Peer Support Group is every Wednesday (2-4pm) at the CVA hub.
- Marine Medical Group Social Prescribers Weekly FREE drop in- Social prescribers can help with a variety of issues, from benefits to housing, from isolation and loneliness to adult social care and referrals. Just pop in and see how we can help you every Thursday 9am-4pm at the CVA Hub, 14 Market Place Blyth.
- Regular groups including weekly lego, art and wellbieng walks.
- Monthly support for grief and loss - every second Tuesday at Blyth Family hub (2-4pm)

Who can use this service?
We welcome enquires from people of all ages and backgrounds. If we cannot help directly we will always point in the right direction. Enquiries and appointments can be made through the practice telephone numbers.
How are services delivered?
We deliver the service through face to face appointments, telephone calls, emails and the text messaging service.
