Age UK Northumberland Health and Wellbeing Advice
We provide activities to help support older adults who have low levels of function capacity or existing disease and disability. We also provide classes to help maintain older people's fitness levels through a series of community classes throughout Northumberland. Our Strength and Balance classes are for anyone who has had a fall, has balance problems and is at risk from falling.

The Health and Wellbeing Programme is led by Anne Robinson, the Health and Wellbeing Manager. Anne has worked to improve the health of older people for over 20 years and has experience in: working with people with long term conditions. Anne has also delivered Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Cardiac Rehabilitation. All of the community exercise classes are run by fully trained staff and volunteers. Our Strength and Balance classes provide a mix of seated and standing exercises focussing on strength, balance, co-ordination and confidence.
Who can use this service?
Anyone over 50 living in Northumberland.
How are services delivered?
Face to face classes across the county, Zoom and, in some cases, telephone classes have been offered.
