Silx Teen Bar Youth Project has worked with young people in Blyth since 1996. We are based at Silx Teen Bar 5 Church Street in Blyth and provide a range of projects and youth activities that are free for young people aged 11 to 19. We provide a structured program of activities, with a focus on health and well-being activities. Our Employability Project is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12 to 2.45 pm and offers every aspect of employability support from accreditations/ CV'S/ Job Search etc

We are the largest youth provider in the Blyth area. In addition to the above, we provide residential and summer programmes, as well as conducting street engagement and activities, working on the streets of Blyth.
Who can use this service?
Any young people aged 11-19 resident within South East Northumberland.
How are services delivered?
A team delivers services of experienced youth workers. We are open from 5pm to 7:45pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We provide recreational and educational activities that are fun and involve the young people. We also provide one-to-one personal support to young people and provide trips and out-of-area trips and activities. In addition to the above we provide residential and summer programmes as well as conduct street engagement and activities on the streets of Blyth.
